PERSONAL: Imaging USA Flight Reservation

So today, as I was looking into the last minute details for my trips to New Orleans, I got a super dooper nice surprise! I'll be in the ATL!!!! I'm hoping to see some great friends and family instead of just being stuck in the airport for my next flight. I am so excited!!! Sweet tea!!! Chick-Fil-A!!! SOUTHERN FOOODD!! Yummm :) Seriously, we need to get a Chick-Fil-A over here so that I don't gain five pounds every time that I visit the South.
Ooohh, also having a Bruster's would be nice. I used to love their ice cream!!
So, if any of you dear friends or family can't make in to see me at the airport, no worries, I'll be in good company with my sweet tea and Chick-Fil-A sandwich.

Much Love,

Diana

PHOTO SESSIONS: Karina & Mom

I finally got to take Karina (my boyfriend's sister) to one of my favorite hidden gems in Washington! We were standing in front of a kiosk (check out the last picture) when Karina asked me if I could take a picture of her. I have always loved this particular kiosk because it's surrounded by all sorts of plants and the light just falls beautifully! Besides, the ducks and random roosters and chickens walking by add to its charm. Love how the pictures came out!

Karina posing for the camera. She is so gorgeous!

This is my gorgeous mom giving me a great smile!

BEHIND THE SCENES:
This is what the location looks like from afar. Love how if you look at things in a different light, you can create magic in your portraits!

MODEL PROGRAM: Jenny

So today, my adorable cousin allowed me to photograph her. She enjoyed (and by that I mean LOVED) jumping on crunchy leaves. She was such an amazing model especially since she hadn't had a meal and was due for a nap. I love you Jenny!!

BEHIND THE SCENES LOOK: We had to resort to the binkie when we had her change outfits. I learned to love binkies. It usually calms kids down and makes them happy if even for a few seconds (which gives me enough time to get the right picture).

She was such a good model.
Jenny is one of  the first members of my Tiny Models Program. I'll have more info on that program coming up! Super excited to share with you!
Sneak peek on the program:
*1 year contract
*You'll get lots of goodies!
*Your kid will be featured on my website, as well as blog and facebook.
*Ultimate bragging rights!

To buy the headbands featured here, please contact me directly. I do custom orders! :)

Lake Serene

Yesterday I hiked through one of the most rough terrains that I have ever hiked through.  Along with my brothers, mom, and boyfriend, we made it through 6 hours of hiking to get to the top of Lake Serene and back. We made it through rocks, stairs, bridges, and very uneven terrain. By the time we made it out of there, it was pitch black! We only had a tiny flashlight for all five of us to see! It was such an adventure! Even though it was super foggy, I got to see so many cool things (including a lake at the top of the climb)! Here are some pictures from our hike! As you can see, we had some new friends come over for lunch when we got to the top of our hike! ENJOY!

What's the most difficult hike that you made? Was it worth it? Share with me. I want to know.

LEARNING: Collages.net Webinars

I just recently found out about collages.net from a facebook ad. I was intrigued by the products but not overly captivated. I thought, "oh, this is just another company where you can order photo products." Man, I have been sweetly surprised! I took a look through their blog and found out about some webinars that they were hosting. I decided to sign up for it, not really sure what to expect from a free webinar on photography. Days and weeks went by and I completely forgot about it. (Luckily they sent me a reminder about it!)

So this morning, with my body still aching from yesterday's long and super hard hike (more on that later), I woke up super early to get ready for this webinar that starts at 8:00 (keep in mind that I'm in the Pacific Time Zone so if you're in the EST yours will be conducted at a much later time). Got my notebook and paper ready, preparing to take notes in case something interesting happened. This was "Infant Portraits 101" after all!

Our host, Pete Wright, from PW Photography, was full of information. My pen didn't leave my notebook for a second. I was scribbling as fast as I could, trying to capture everything that he had to say about baby and infant photography. He knows a great deal about running a business as well.

I am SOO glad that I stumbled upon this. I went back into the blog and signed up for three more webinars (two of the are happening tomorrow!).

So for any photographers out there, please check this out. It's a great learning tool and it's free!! The first webinar that I attended was a little bit over 1 hour long and the one that I just attended a few minutes ago lasted less than thirty minutes. This last one was about new products that collages.net has and the benefits that they offer to your costumers. Super informative as well!

Added bonus: you get discount codes to collages.net if you attend. :)

Good day everyone!

WEDDINGS: E&I

First of all, I just need to mention that  I've realized that I haven't been too good about keeping up with writing a blog. SORRY! It must be from the lack of habit of keeping a personal diary!! I remember that I used to love doing that. (Maybe I should start again!)
I'll be better, I promise. I take way too many pictures for them not to appear here.

So... speaking of portraits...I wanted to share a few from the E&I Wedding! It was this gorgeous wedding, set against a GORGEOUS backdrop. Everybody was so happy (even the bunnies were out that day!!). \
This was really a fairy-tale wedding. :)

So much love! :)

Hope that you enjoyed this wedding as much as I did!

PAWS Wednesday

Super busy Wednesday! I woke up really early today and went around the city (or should I say cities!) to look for new props! I found so many! There's a really cute "Martha Stewart Blue" metal basket for babies -1 yr. I also bought a matching blanket and ribbon to go along with it! I still don't know what I'm going to do with the ribbon but I'm leaning towards a headband and/or to decorate the top of a matching tutu!
Have I mentioned that I LOVE props? :) I absolutely love looking for new ideas. I really do think that they add to the cuteness of the pictures.
Well... the list goes on... I also bought a new hot glue gun since my old one has had its days (plus matching glue sticks). There's a new idea for the floors that I want to try out. I'll let you know how that turns out!
New headbands coming soon! I just bought lots of materials! And for tutus, there's quite a few coming over to Diana's Photografia! All kinds of colors! :)
Well, after all of my prop shopping spree, I headed over to PAWS. I got to take pictures of some really sweet and gentle dogs today. I fell in love with every single one!
Here are some pictures of my new-found loves:

Sooo... after I got home from PAWS, there were some more goodies waiting for me to open them up. I received my three cheesecloth wraps from Treasured Moments by Tiffiney and my black Diamond Backdrop from Backdrop Outlet!! Such a nice surprise!! :)

Today was definitely a good day in prop world! :)

PAWS!

So today was another great day at PAWS! When I got there, there was another volunteer who works with the web team. I love meeting other volunteers, especially since I still consider myself fairly new to this. I'm sure that I asked her EVERY question that came to mind. And she was so nice and helpful! I hope that I get to see her again. We made a really good team together!
Here are some pics of the cats that I got to meet today!! Click on their names to learn a little bit more about them and the adoption process!
And thanks for  stopping by! Let me know which cat you would choose as your own if you could adopt one!!
